Providing the right accessories and consumables for forming is crucial to improve the quality of welds and ensure protection against oxidation.
The OXY EVO stationary residual oxygen analyser is used for inert gases and gases with H2 components. The measuring cells are made of zirconium oxide and the device is maintenance-free. The device also has a USB interface for saving documentation and Bluetooth for communication with our orbital controllers. The device is controlled and analysed exclusively via the digital interface.
The OXY SMART residual oxygen device is a battery-operated device for inert gases and gases with H2 components (max. 10%). The zirconium oxide measuring cell has a long service life and the device is maintenance-free. OXY SMART is protected against dust and splash water, making it ideal for use in high humidity conditions.
The aluminium cover strip is used to seal pipelines and containers for a "clean" weld seam during forming. To prevent the gas from escaping during forming, the gaps between the pipes and containers to be welded are sealed with a suitable aluminium cover strip. During tack welding, the bonded aluminium cover strip is lifted and pressed down again after tack welding.

SOLAR FLUX® moulding paste protects the back of weld seams from unwanted oxidation and supports the weld pool. SOLAR FLUX® keeps oxygen away during the welding process and dissipates heat and unwanted oxides. The moulding paste serves as a weld pool protection and at the same time provides pore and root protection. This protection of the back of the weld seam with moulding paste is simpler and more cost-effective than "inert gas purging" with the same quality of weld seam result. Suitable for welding low and high-alloy steel, as well as aluminium and its alloys SOLAR FLUX® TYPE B forming paste is only to be used for ferritic and austenitic steels up to a nickel content of 25%.
In addition to conventional moulding processes, water-soluble moulding paper known as flushing dams is also used. Water-soluble flushing dams consist of water-soluble forming paper and water-soluble adhesive tape. These two components are sufficient to produce purging dams (forming gas chambers) quickly and easily. These purging dams are positioned in the immediate vicinity of the welding area to form the desired gas insulation. The water-soluble adhesive tape is used to fix the water-soluble purging dam (forming paper). Forming paper is made from sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and wood fibres, is 100% biodegradable and leaves no residue in the pipes as it dissolves quickly and completely when flushed with water. Flushing dam paper (forming paper) is available in different sizes and qualities. This enables the production of flushing dams in almost all desired pipe diameters. The stainless steel pipe marking tape is used for quick marking/scoring on pipes and other components for a straight cut.
