ASS®- Opti M is the compact moulding system from Holzer ASS® for small pipes. It covers a Inner pipe diameter from 43 - 97 mm and enables moulding with front and rear sealing. Three applications are possible with one sealing disc - the three variants are called: Opti M Flex, Opti M Single, Opti M Flange. The innovative design of this moulding system enables quick and easy replacement of sealing discs and short set-up times.

With only one 3-lip sealing disc covers ASS®- Opti M three applications from: Opti M Flex with flexible centre section for safe positioning in pipe bends (gas outlet at the back), Opti M Single with one-sided sealing for open pipe ends and short lengths as well as Opti M Flange for precise forming tasks directly on or near flanges. All variants utilise the fixed basic units.

Forming system for the highest welding quality in practice

The ASS®- Opti M forming system was developed for pipes with small diameters. It is primarily used where narrow pipe runs or bends require precise positioning. The holder of the forming unit is permanently bonded, which means that only the sealing discs need to be changed for each different pipe size. The three-lip sealing discs provide a reliable seal and ensure a stable hold, even when the system is pulled through bends. Sintered metal inserts slow down the gas flow and distribute it evenly so that the oxygen is displaced from the firing chamber to the desired minimum.

Advantages of ASS®- Opti M

ASS®- Opti M shortens set-up times thanks to its modular design and flushing times thanks to the impact forming method, in which an increased gas flow (up to 50 litres/min.) flushes the forming chamber so that consistently clean root seams are achieved. This modular design adapts to your task - for economical processes and reproducible quality even in demanding applications.

Efficient welding preparation with impact purging

ASS®- Opti M makes butt-forming in small pipes (43-97 mm) simple and safe - ideal for tight spaces and pipe bends. The specifically selected gas flow rate quickly flushes the forming chamber free; sintered metal calms the gas flow and distributes it homogeneously. The result: a virtually oxygen-free environment for the root seam, with a secure fit thanks to the three-lip sealing disc and short preparation time.
