ASS®- Opti M flange

ASS®- Opti M flange is the flange variant within the Opti-M series for small cables. It is used when the forming zone is located directly on the flange face or is only accessible from the end face. The Recording Hemisphere paired with the functional handle allow the moulding unit to be positioned precisely, even in tight spaces. ASS®- Opti-M flange is compatible with all sealing disc sizes of the ASS®- Opti M Series can be combined.
How the ASS works®- Opti M flange
About the Gas inlet inert gas flows into the Forming chamberthe Sintered metal insert slows down the gas flow and distributes it evenly along the seam root. On the pipe side, a 3-lip sealing disc Sealing and centring in the pipe. The Hemisphere seals on the flange side and fixes the position at the same time. The forming chamber is purged by shock forming (increased gas flow of up to 50 litres/min); a homogeneous shielding gas atmosphere is created at the weld root. The gas is discharged via the hemisphere, where it is also possible to determine or check the residual oxygen content using a measuring probe. permanently bondedso that only the sealing disc needs to be replaced when changing pipe sizes.

Accessories & spare parts - ASS®- Opti M flange
A gas hose with a length of 10 m including 1/4″ connection is optionally available. The range of Original-Spare parts Includes holder, hemisphere, handle and fastening nut as well as screw connection end piece. Compatible with all sizes of the ASS®- Sealing discs - for permanently tight connections, high process reliability and short disassembly and assembly times when changing the sealing discs.
