ASS®– Prime 1
With rear gas outlet for pipe Ø 50 mm – 1200 mm
ASS®– Prime 1 is for the formation of pipe joints with rear gas outlet designed. The inflatable purging bladders seal the area either side of the weld seam and limit the volume to be purged. The forming gas is supplied via the Primary bag introduced and towards Secondary bag routed, where the gas is controlled and discharged to the rear. ASS®– Prime 1 is for pipe internal diameters of 50 to 1200 mm available.
How the ASS works®– Prime 1
The ASS®– Prime 1 is positioned in the pipe at the weld seam and then via the black hose inflated. The two purging bladders seal off the area to the left and right of the weld seam, forming a closed Forming chamber.The forming gas is fed via the red tube on the primary bag introduced. Through the sintered metal, it flows evenly into the forming chamber and displaces the residual oxygen towards Secondary bag. There, the gas is directed towards the back in a controlled manner. The dampened gas discharge prevents uncontrolled outflow and supports an even filling of the purging chamber with argon. As a result, the root side of the weld reliably protected during the welding process.
