ASS®– Prime Barrier
For the temporary isolation of pipelines
The ASS®– Prime Barrier is designed for the targeted sealing of individual pipe sections. With a single purging bladder, the area in question can be isolated from the rest of the piping system separate, such as when extending existing pipelines, for tightness and pressure tests, or for locating leaks. In this way, individual sections can be reliably isolated without having to test the entire system.
How the ASS works®– Prime Barrier
For the application ASA®– Prime Barrier a single purging bladder via a stiff, stainless hose guided to the desired position and inflated there until it reliably [fills] the pipe cross-section seals. This also allows the barrier to be placed precisely where it is needed, even in long or complex pipes. Depending on the application, various hose lengths are available.
Additionally, the Prime barrier is suitable for use during welding unintentional escape of pipe weld purging gas to prevent. After completion of the work, the purging bladder is deflated and removed from the pipe again.
