Aluminium masking tape
For sealing pipes and containers
The aluminium cover strip is used to seal pipelines and containers for a "clean" weld seam during forming. To prevent the gas from escaping during forming, the gaps between the pipes and containers to be welded are sealed with a suitable aluminium cover strip.
During tack welding, the bonded aluminium cover strip is lifted and pressed down again after tack welding.

Quality feature of an aluminium cover strip
The quality of an aluminium cover strip can be recognised by the adhesive residue along the weld seam. The higher the temperature resistance, the less unpleasant adhesive residue on the pipes/containers after forming.
