Protective gas finger
in use with pipe plugs
The shielding gas finger made of sintered metal, available in various diameters and lengths, in conjunction with one-sided gas shielding guarantees easy and quick handling. Corrosion of any kind is avoided inside the pipe during welding without the need for prolonged purging times.
Functionality
The shielding gas is introduced into the hose connection (a) and distributed through the inside of the sintered metal (b). The overpressure escapes via the open tube side.
The pipe plugs or shielding gas fingers (c) can be replaced as required.
